Hello, my name is Karen Richards and I am one of the athletic trainers at North Catholic. I have had the privilege of taking care of the student-athletes at NC for four years. I have been with Allegheny Health Network for over 20 years, caring for athletes at various schools including Carlynton, Northgate, Avonworth, and now NC.
I attended Duquesne University and received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During my time at Duquesne, I had the opportunity to work with many different teams throughout the Pittsburgh area. I accepted my position with AHN the day I graduated and have advanced my career to become a senior athletic trainer for the Health System. This position has allowed me to work with not only high school and college athletes, but even a few professional athletes.
When I am not taking care of athletes I love to spend time with my husband Bill and my bird Ndugu!! We love to travel (especially to Disney) and spend times with friends.
