The North Catholic Trojans (4-4)(3-1) have a chance to finish their season strong vs Indiana (2-6)(0-5). The Trojans march into this game following a 42-21 loss to highly ranked 3A Avonworth. It was a nightmare game for the Trojans as the offense struggled to find consistency and the passing defense was torn apart by Avonworth. However, the Trojans look to rebound against an Indiana team that has been struggling mightily and who are eliminated from playoff contention. They come into this one without a win in conference and a week after getting blown out 35-7 to the Hampton Talbots, a team that North Catholic beat 28-16 two weeks ago. But the Trojans have no reason to look past Indiana as the Indians did beat Shady Side Academy, a team North Catholic lost to in overtime back in the second week of the season. If the Trojans win tonight, they can ensure that next week's game against the Mars Planets is for the Greater Allegheny Conference Championship. Winning two straight games to close out the regular season would ensure a high seed in the playoffs which would be of great benefit to start the playoffs. In what is likely going to be a rainy night, look for the Trojans to pound the rock with
Jack Fennell, who is coming off of a two touchdown performance against Avonworth. If the Trojans can break through on the ground and the run defense can stand tall as they've done all season, look for the Trojans to win going away. However, if this turns into a sloppy, turnover filled game, this one can come down to the wire in a game that North Catholic needs to win. Kickoff is at 7pm at JC Stone Field and will broadcasted live on the North Catholic Sports Network. The broadcast kicks off at 6:45 pm.
