North Catholic vs. Butler

Set 1:
On senior night North Catholic looked to continue their dominate season against section opponent Butler. North jumped to an early 14-7 lead, but Butler was able to bounce back and get within two before North Catholic pulled away winning the first set 25-22 behind
Ella Koziara with six kills and
Audra Lazzarra with five.
Set 2:
The second set opened with both teams scrapping on defense and senior
Alex Aiello was able to substitute into the game and get an ace and three digs. With
Sienna Cozza spreading the wealth on offense North Catholic was able to win handily 25-16.
Set 3:
North Catholic jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the third and through the defense of seniors
Rebecca Feczko,
Josie Lorish, and
Kaitlyn Maziarz who combined had 20 plus digs continued building their lead. With several blocks by
Claire Beaman and
Bianca Udrea that furthered North Catholic's push to win the game. As well as
Ana Marzo substituted into the match and had several dime passes off serve receive which eventually gave way to a 25-17 win and the match 3-0.
North Catholic vs. Seneca Valley

North Catholic traveled away to section opponent Seneca Valley and extended their five-game win streak to six. They did so through a 3-1 win which was the same set score as the previous match up at home and with the win completed the season sweep of Seneca Valley and looked ahead to the final match of the regular season against rival North Allegheny.

Set 1:
In this powerhouse match up North Catholic and North Allegheny both looked towards this game for important reasons. Though before the reasons for both teams besides being section opponents, the section was already decided before the match with North Allegheny finishing first and North Catholic in second. The reasons now for each team to fight for a victory are for North Catholic beating North Allegheny would add to their resume for playoff seeding and for North Allegheny finishing undefeated on the regular season. North Allegheny in the first set leaped ahead and took a 18-14 lead and did not let up winning the first set 25-21.
Set 2:
The second set went back and forth for a majority of it with North Catholic taking a 16-14 lead behind the play of
Ella Koziara who on the outside carried North Catholic with her swings. Though it was not enough when North Allegheny took a 21-18 lead and then squashed any hope of a late set comeback through winning 25-18.
Set 3:
Just like in the first match up of the season between these two teams the third set was the momentum changer. North Catholic started down 6-10 but after Mikayla Measel was substituted into the match and with her extra lift of offense turned the tides North Catholics way taking a 15-13 lead. This success continued out of a timeout with
Rebecca Feczko and
Josie Lorish repeatedly getting digs off the North Allegheny attackers and North Catholic was able to win the third set 25-22.
Set 4:
Off winning the third North Catholic cruised through the fourth and
Camdynn Gonzalez got on fire with several kills on the right side. North Catholic added a few aces by several other players to build a 23-13 lead and saw out the set winning 25-16.
Set 5:
The pivotal fifth set began with North Catholic down 2-6 but after several blocks by
Lauren Reitz, North Catholic came back to take a 12-8 lead and sprinted to the finish line winning the fifth set 15-8. By winning in five sets the stat sheet was full for North Catholic, some team leaders included
Sienna Cozza with 40 plus assists,
Ella Koziara with close to 30 kills, and
Rebecca Feczko with 15 plus digs. Overall, it was a great team victory that sets the team up great for hopefully a long playoff run.
