Cranberry Township, PA – North Catholic High School is proud to announce the appointment of Dorothy J. Dohanics, Esq., as the new head coach of the Girls' Tennis team. A 2005 alumna of North Catholic, Dohanics returns to her alma mater with an impressive background as both an athlete and a professional.

A standout tennis player during her time at Penn State University, Dohanics competed at the Division I level for four years, where she developed a reputation for her competitive spirit, leadership, and teamwork. Her collegiate experience laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to the sport and the values it instills.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Dohanics earned her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. Currently, she serves as an attorney at Harry S. Cohen & Associates in Pittsburgh, advocating for victims of medical malpractice. Her legal career has sharpened her skills in discipline, structure, and mentorship—qualities that will greatly benefit the North Catholic tennis program.

Dohanics also brings coaching experience from her time as a volunteer assistant coach with the Duquesne University Women's Tennis Team, where she supported student-athletes both on and off the court.
A devoted mother of four, Dohanics is deeply connected to youth tennis, with one of her daughters currently ranked among the top players nationally by the USTA. Her personal passion for the game and commitment to youth development make her an ideal role model for student-athletes.

"Returning to North Catholic is more than just a new chapter—it's a homecoming," said Dohanics. "I'm honored to lead this program and excited to contribute to a school that helped shape who I am today."

North Catholic is thrilled to welcome Dorothy Dohanics back to the Trojan family to lead the reigning 2024 WPIAL 2A girls champions.
