WPIAL CLASS 3A | WEEK TWO PREVIEW

Cranberry Twp. PA – The North Catholic Trojans (2-0) are coming off another blowout victory in week one.  This time it was a 69-10 win over the Knoch Knights. The Trojans had touchdowns from seven different players, and the team even got a glimpse of the star-studded underclassmen for the next seasons to come. Senior QB Joey Felitsky completed 12 of 16 for 208 yards and 4 touchdowns. His passes were to senior WR Preston Simko for 3 and 23 yards, senior TE Tom Arth for 12 yards, and junior WR Will Waskiewicz for 64 yards. Senior RB Logan Schade had 8 carries for 90 yards and 3 touchdowns as well. Sophomore RB Nate Swisher and junior TE Anthony Greene both had rushing touchdowns to finish the night.  For a complete recap of the Trojans' Week One win, click here. 

The Blackhawk Cougars (1-1) enter the game after a loss to Beaver 38-21 last week. Sophomore QB Jack Chevalier completed 9 of 19 for 63 yards. The Cougars heavily relied on their running game with junior RB Brayden McCarthy leading the team with 226 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries. Chevalier had the other touchdown for Cougars but was not enough to overcome the Bobcats.

The Trojans and Cougars will face off Friday night at Lieutenant JC Stone Field.  Kickoff is set for 7pm and the game will be brought to you live on the North Catholic Sports Network. Coverage begins at 6:50pm.

• Parking is available in designated areas along Lake Shore Drive in North Park. 

• All athletic events at Lt. JC Stone Field are ticketed events.
• Ticket sales end at the conclusion of the first half.
• No entry will be granted after ticket sales end. 
• No re-entry to Lt. JC Stone Field once the game starts. 
• No outside food, beverage, or alcohol. 
• No e-cigarettes or tobacco products.
• No large bags or backpacks
