The NC Girls tennis team started the season with a terrific win at Mars Sr. High on a hot muggy day. It's the first win ever against Mars.

The match came down to 3 of the 5 matches reaching a pivotal 3rd set tiebreaker and NC needed to win them all. Amazingly the girls did just that winning them all by the closest of margins, winning 7-5 in each. The winners for NC included Elizabeth Swift at #3 singles, Sophia Stumm and Lucy Miller at #1 Doubles in a 2 1/2 hour match, then the clinching win came from the #2 doubles team of Quinn Beitler and Dani O'Connor who got behind, but stormed back to win the match.
