Valencia PA – The North Catholic Trojans played the Hampton Talbots this past Monday at Frozen Pond Arena. North Catholic was coming off a loss that snapped their 5-game win streak after coming up short 6-4 against the Wheeling Park Patriots.

Kevin Kilkeary scored his first goal of the season. Hampton quickly answered back 2 minutes later with a goal from F Sam Modlin to make it 3-1. North Catholic increased their lead 4-1 at the end of the second period with a tally from Junior F

rd, Hampton would be without a goaltender as Kosta Sarris suffered an upper-body injury. The remainder of the game was played 6-on-5 and the Trojans scored 4 more times on an "empty-net" with goals from F

Analysis – F Lukas Hixon had a 3-point night (1 G, 2 A) and 12 PIM for the Trojans. Forwards Anthony Neely, Beckett Dunn, and Carson Paglia each had 2 points in the winning effort. Freshman G Darren Riley stopped 21 of 22 shots, posting a .955 SV%. North Catholic currently sits 4th in the Varsity A Blue Division with a 6-2-0 record. They face the Richland Rams this Tuesday at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Puck drop is at 9:20 PM.
