Cranberry Twp, PA - The North Catholic baseball team is in the midst of spring training at the IMG Academy in Florida. They are taking advantage of the warm-weather to fine-tune fundamentals and build momentum for the fast-approaching 2026 season. The Trojans' focus is to reestablish themselves among Class 4A's contenders.
The regular-season opener is set for March 20, against Chartiers-Houston. Following the opener, North Catholic will dive into an early test with a two-game series against Ambridge, a program expected to take a step forward this spring.
For North Catholic, the upcoming season represents a chance to regain the consistency that slipped away in 2025. After capturing the 2024 WPIAL Championship, the Trojans narrowly missed the postseason last spring. This year's roster has expectations of returning to WPIAL postseason play.
This spring, the Trojans will be featured on two Trojan Game Day broadcasts. You can catch the team in action when they match up with Hopewell on April 7, and Beaver on May 4. Both games will be available to stream on the North Catholic Athletics' website and the NCSN YouTube channel.
