Cranberry Twp, PA - Today, the North Catholic Athletic Department introduced a brand-new award after mass this morning.  The Athletic Leadership Award will be presented annually to a member of the North Catholic community to recognize their positive contributions to North, specific to athletics. 
 
Senior Alex Brown, the first recipient of this award needs no introduction.  His positive attitude, infectious smile, and ability to carry on a conversation with anyone he meets are some of his best qualities.  As an athlete, Alex has claimed WPIAL and PIAA gold in track and is preparing to head to states later today.  Outside of competing, he can be found cheering on his classmates at almost every NC sporting event.  If you don't know Alex personally, you might be familiar with his voice.  Since his sophomore year, Alex has been the voice of Trojan and Trojanette athletics on the North Catholic Sports Network.  From the regular season to playoffs, he has been on the call bringing NC athletics into the homes of our family, friends, and alumni. 
 
Again, this award will be presented annually to a member of the North Catholic community.  Moving forward, this award will be known as the Alex Brown Athletic Leadership Award.
