Cranberry Twp, PA - North Catholic is proud to continue a growing tradition with the presentation of the Alex Brown Athletic Leadership Award, established two years ago to honor individuals who make exceptional contributions to Trojan athletics and the school community.

Senior Lizzie Fabian, the 2026 recipient, embodies everything this award represents.

A four-year, multi-sport student-athlete, Fabian earned an impressive 12 varsity letters competing in golf, hockey, flag football, and lacrosse. Her versatility and commitment have made her a cornerstone of North Catholic athletics.
Fabian played a key role in leading the girls' golf team to its first WPIAL Championship, along with a top 10 finish at the state level, delivering clutch performances when it mattered most.

On the flag football field, she was a three-year starter and team captain, leading the team in both touchdowns and defensive production while earning selection to the Big 33 All-State Team.

In hockey, Fabian has been a consistent contributor in the PIHL girls league, representing North Catholic since her freshman year and competing at a high level throughout her career.

While her accomplishments are impressive, Fabian's impact extends well beyond the stat sheet. She is widely recognized as a selfless teammate, fierce competitor, and leader by example—someone who consistently puts her team first.

"I am humbled to share this award with Lizzie Fabian," said Alex Brown. "She represented North Catholic with excellence, leadership, and class in every way. Her efforts will leave a lasting impact on our school for years to come."

Fabian will continue her academic and athletic career at Mercyhurst University, where she will compete as a member of the flag football program.

First presented in 2024, the award honored senior Alex Brown, whose impact as a student-athlete helped inspire its creation. Brown captured both WPIAL and PIAA gold in track and field, while also becoming a familiar voice as the broadcaster for Trojan athletics on the North Catholic Sports Network from 2022–2024. Today, Brown is a junior at the University of Alabama, where he is pursuing sports broadcasting and competing as a member of the Para Track and Field team.
