Cranberry Twp, PA - North Catholic is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. John P. Grogan as the school's new Athletic Director, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven record of excellence in education-based athletics. 

Mr. Grogan joins North Catholic with more than 30 years of experience in athletic leadership and school administration, including an impressive 25-year tenure as Director of Athletics for the Mt. Lebanon School District. Throughout his distinguished career, he has earned widespread respect for his strong leadership, operational expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting student-athletes both on and off the field.

"I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes, coaches, families, and alumni as we continue a proud tradition of faith, excellence, and championship culture. Beyond his work at the district level, Mr. Grogan has played a significant role in shaping interscholastic athletics across Western Pennsylvania. He has served in numerous leadership positions within the WPIAL and PIAA, including President of the WPIAL Athletic Directors Association and as a member of the WPIAL Board of Control. His involvement also extends to various WPIAL and state athletic committees, demonstrating his dedication to advancing high school athletics at every level. A Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA), Mr. Grogan has also served as a site manager and representative for many postseason events, further highlighting his depth of experience. 

Mr. Grogan will officially retire from the Mt. Lebanon School District at the end of June and begin his full-time role at North Catholic in July. In the interim, he has graciously volunteered his time to support the transition process, ensuring a smooth and successful start for the athletic department.
