This year in swimming and diving, the North Catholic Trojans & Trojanettes are looking to use last year as a springboard to help win gold this year. This starts with Junior diver Maggie Foley, who placed first in the Girls AA diving championship last year. Maggie is committed to the University of Pittsburgh and is a force to be reckoned with for diving on the girl's side. Maggie placed second in the PIAA championship with a score of 441.05.  

With many new swimmers joining the team this year, some of their existing teammates are excited about the amount of interest for this upcoming season. Junior Matt Littleton talks about how the growing interest in the team itself benefits the overall ambitions and goals for the year.  

"I'm mostly looking forward to spectators being allowed in the pool again. We have a big team and that will bring lots of spectators." 

"My favorite part about being on the team is that everyone builds off each other's energy. This makes practices and meets really enjoyable."  

Last Season, both the boys' and girls' teams placed sixth in the WPIAL finals throughout 24 events. The official start to the 2021-22 season will begin on December 10th, where the Trojans and Trojanettes will take on North Allegheny at 6:00pm.
